I just cooked our first one! It was much much bigger than the one you're holding in the clip. I think I may have cooked it too long, but otherwise it was fantastic! I can't believe I've got my own meat source!

just go to ya local dam in state forest and fish then out with nets , thats what i did nad now put bought fish so the fish can eat them . fk the law.... its a joke what u can do or cant do . been doing it for years since was a kid.

The Sydney Fish Market's fact sheet on yabbies says to buy them live and not to freeze them green, but to chill them only for as long as it takes to anaesthetise them before cooking or despatching them.
